Description

A painting of Skogsrået, a creature or being found in Swedish folklore. She is a guardian of the forest and wild animals, helpful but also very dangerous and unpredictable. She is described to be very beautiful, but her back is hollow like a tree trunk and some tales says she has a fox tail. 
Painted with watercolors on paper, 21x29,7 cm.

I read a story a long time ago about one of these creatures.  It was called "The Gruesome Green Witch" and I cannot remember the author's name.  Lovely painting!
